Compact Sofa in Brazilian Cowhide

Compact Sofa in Brazilian Cowhide

Description

It doesn't get much better than this!Ā  Charles and Ray Eames designed the original Compact Sofa as a built-in for their Pacific Palisades home in the 1940s.Ā  They loved the sofa so much that they decided to create a freestanding version.Ā  It was first produced in 1954 and has been in production ever since!Ā  The design is light and airy.Ā The scale of the sofa is perfect for a tight space but it seats three people comfortably.Ā This sofa went through a meticulous interior and exterior restoration.Ā  All new foam was added to the seat cushion and back supports.Ā  Our designers chose our favorite salt and pepper cowhide for an ultra-mod look.Ā  The hides were purposely placed in a pattern of light to dark for an uber cool ombre effect. Ā The steel frame is black enamel and the tubular steel legs are chrome plated.Ā  Dynamite!
